Groove Demon is an 80s-style Finnish-American rock band. Our core strategy is simple: rework classic 1980s Finnish rock hits with English lyrics, then cut, market, and release them in both Finland and the US.

Taina’s love for music and the stage goes back to home videos of her early childhood performances. Raised on her musician father’s record collection, her childhood road trips were filled with classic pop and standard tunes instead of children’s songs. After experimenting with various instruments, she quickly found her true instrument to be her voice.

Steven Gary

Bass, Vocals

Nashville session and touring musician with over 15,000 live shows under his belt across the US and the Caribbean. Independent recording artist fronting Mockingbird Canyon Road.

Drums, Executive Producer

With Dean Hall & Loose Eels, Tapio has shared the stage supporting major acts including B.B. King, Robben Ford, Delbert McClinton, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Deana Carter, and Leon Russell.

Jon Statham

Jon Statham grew up immersed in music.

Walking into the Statham household, you felt it immediately. His father played guitar and sang 1930s and 40s country and folk, while his mother and siblings arranged Irish ballad harmonies for church. Music wasn’t just played, it was part of the atmosphere.

Jon has refined his craft as a songwriter and producer into a sound that honors classic roots while driving the genre forward with a fresh, modern edge.

After working and performing across Boston, New York, and Los Angeles, Jon settled in Nashville to focus on top-tier songwriting and production.

Rollout Strategy

Our initial phase centers on cutting and releasing a 2-track single featuring English covers of iconic Finnish rock tracks. Rhythm tracks will be tracked in Nashville and Clearwater, Florida, utilizing top-tier local session players. Lead vocals will be cut in Finland, with final mastering completed in the US. Additional touring and core lineup members will be recruited following the lead single’s drop, coinciding with gig and tour booking efforts.
